Our next stop was the Portland Observatory which was on the top of hill on Congress Street. The walk there was very taxing. As, Dick said, “It felt like I was taking a stress test!” We walked up the big hilly street just to get to Congress Street then make a right and walked uphill some more. When we finally got there, there were now many steps to climb just to get into the place and then to get to the top of the Observatory. We decide to pass up the opportunity to get to the top rather than pass out. At least from here, the rest of the day’s walk was downhill.
That's too bad the trip was so difficult. Too many people miss out on the sight. We walk Congress St, Tucson on Monday nights. Thankfully there are no hills.
